Joe and LaVonne Blowers made a commitment to keeping car use to a minimum based on their Mennonite religious beliefs. They view stewardship of the earth as part of their spiritual duties. Joe is a science teacher and is very involved in environmental issues. LaVonne works at a gastroenterology clinic.
